How to run 50 km without training.

For the past five months, I've sauntered about aimlessly, keeping thoughts of distance far from my cerebral cortex.  At the pinnacle of my, ahem, "training," I got in a single casual twelve mile jog.  Not the ideal method, but somehow I managed to help pace the 5 hour, 30 minute group at yesterday's Cowtown ultramarathon.  We finished in 5 hours, 26 minutes, and 3 seconds, or a nice 10:30 per mile pace.  And today I feel pretty good.  Perhaps Waco won't be as miserable as I was anticipating.
